LPC Associate Supervision in Texas and Illinois

LPC-A Supervision in Texas and Illinois

If you are an LPC-Associate or pre-licensed counselor looking for supportive, structured supervision, I offer individual clinical supervision for counselors pursuing licensure in Texas and Illinois.

My supervision services are designed for highly motivated clinicians who already have or are actively building their own caseload and want consistent weekly guidance as they grow in skill, confidence, and professional identity.

Working toward licensure can feel exciting, overwhelming, and uncertain all at the same time. Good supervision should help you feel more grounded, more capable, and more confident in your work with clients.

I provide weekly individual supervision for counselors who want a thoughtful and supportive space to strengthen their clinical skills, work through challenges, and continue developing into ethical and effective therapists.

This supervision opportunity is a good fit for counselors who:

  • Are pursuing LPC licensure

  • Have their own clients or a position where they are already seeing clients

  • Want weekly individual supervision

  • Value clinical growth, professionalism, and accountability

  • Are open to feedback and committed to developing their skills

What Supervision Includes:

  • Weekly individual supervision

  • Ongoing support for case consultation

  • Guidance with clinical decision-making

  • Support with ethical questions and professional boundaries

  • Help building confidence in your clinical voice and treatment approach

  • A structured space to grow as a therapist

Supervision is intended to help you think more clearly, respond more effectively to client needs, and continue building strong clinical judgment.

I provide virtual LPC Associate supervision for counselors throughout Texas and Illinois who are working toward independent licensure.

Supervision Philosophy

I believe supervision should be both supportive and challenging. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable bringing questions, uncertainties, successes, and mistakes without fear of judgment. Growth happens when clinicians feel supported enough to be honest about where they are while also being challenged to continue developing their skills and confidence.

As a supervisor, I view my role as more than simply reviewing cases or signing paperwork. I aim to help you develop strong clinical judgment, think critically about your work, navigate ethical dilemmas, and build confidence in your unique therapeutic style. Rather than encouraging you to become a copy of your supervisor, I want to help you discover the kind of therapist you want to be.

Supervision for LPC Associates

I value curiosity, self-reflection, and lifelong learning. Some of the most meaningful growth happens when we slow down and explore not only what is happening with a client, but also what is happening within ourselves as clinicians. Supervision provides an opportunity to strengthen your clinical skills while also increasing self-awareness, confidence, and professional identity.

My supervision style balances accountability with encouragement. I believe in providing direct and honest feedback while recognizing that every clinician is learning and growing. Whether we are discussing documentation, treatment planning, ethical concerns, challenging cases, or career goals, my focus is on helping you feel more competent, confident, and prepared for independent practice.

Most importantly, I believe that strong supervision creates strong therapists. By investing in your growth now, you are building the foundation for a career that is ethical, sustainable, and impactful for the clients you serve.

The Interview Process

Before beginning supervision, we will complete an interview process to determine whether this is the right fit.

During this process, we may discuss:

  • Your current work setting

  • The population you are serving

  • Your clinical experience so far

  • Your goals for supervision

  • Your readiness for weekly individual supervision

  • Professional expectations and fit

The goal is to make sure you receive supervision that supports your growth while also ensuring the supervision relationship is a strong match. I work with counselors pursuing LPC licensure in both Texas and Illinois.

What to Know Before Applying

This supervision role is for counselors who already have their own clients or access to clients through their workplace or practice setting.

I provide supervision only. I do not provide clients or referrals as part of this arrangement.

Because I want to ensure a good clinical and professional fit, there is an interview process before acceptance. Not every applicant will be accepted.

About My Clinical Experience

I have been in the mental health field across community mental health, schools, outpatient therapy, private practice, and leadership roles since 2012. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping both clients and clinicians grow with confidence, competence, and integrity. My experience includes providing therapy, leading clinical teams, developing supervision programs, training therapists, and supporting clinicians through the licensure process. In my supervision role, I met weekly with supervisees to review cases, discuss ethics, observe clinical work, strengthen documentation skills, teach interventions, and support both personal and professional development.

My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis intervention, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and life transitions. Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely with schools, medical professionals, community agencies, and multidisciplinary treatment teams.

As a supervisor, my goal is to create a supportive, challenging, and collaborative environment where clinicians can develop their clinical judgment, strengthen their confidence, and grow into the therapist they aspire to become. I believe effective supervision balances accountability with encouragement, helping supervisees navigate both the practical and emotional aspects of clinical work.

I value curiosity, ethical practice, professional growth, and authenticity. Whether we're discussing complex cases, documentation challenges, difficult clinical decisions, or career goals, my focus is on helping you build the skills and confidence needed for long-term success as a clinician.
